Italy occupies a somewhat anomalous position in the global market for military technologies as a result both of its recent history and because of the trends underway in Italian and European politics.
This can lead to a degree of intellectual isolation, which may at times be, and obstacle in fully participating in the sector on a worldwide scale. 
Initiatives such as yours are a useful tool in helping companies like Elettronica to overcome that sort of “mental distance”, both with respect to potential clients in the international defence field and within the policy level which governs it.
