Greece: Ready for Business
The Observer, Special Report from April 2, 2006 issue
Greece has not only enjoyed a spate of successes in sports, its economy is also heralding champion results. Hellenic banking giants are expanding into the Balkan region on the one hand and international corporations are increasingly establishing their regional headquarters in Greece on the other. It would appear that the collective achievements of organising the highly praised Olympic Games in 2004 has left the Greeks with a renewed drive towards results in all sectors. Corruption within judicial and political circles is being stamped out and education reforms are allowing for the ancient hotbed of knowledge to attract collaborations with the world’s most acclaimed universities. This Observer Special Business report in cooperation with Strategic Media looks at the economical rebirth of a nation on the crossroads of Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Nigeria: A Great Leap Forward
Foreign Affairs, Sponsored Section from March/April 2006 Issue
On the eve of the 2006 World Economic Forum in Davos, a BBC-commissioned poll conducted amongst citizens of 32 countries worldwide showed that 64 percent of participating Nigerians believe their personal economic situation is improving. In the first of a series on Nigeria, Strategic Media focuses on this nation's efforts to make that strategy a reality. Through implementation of the self-help NEEDS documents (National Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy) as well as local initiatives such as an Independent Power Plant in Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria may well overcome its hardships in the long term to become Africa's economic and cultural leader.
